Partnership

MRD and Black Diamond form a strategic Partnership to provide the industry with MRDs logging technology to the Drilling industry by offering our eight sensor logging package in 5 3/8" and 6 3/4" assemblies thereby offering multi-point, Joint to Joint logging  from the Kelly to the Drill Bit. Our new Drilling logging package will have the capability to be positioned in the vertical, Heel and Toe sections of the Drill string and provide multi-Point analysis of dynamics such as Kelly to bit torque, weight, tension, pressure, vibration, inclination, etc. 

Deflection Detection

MRD prepare to deploy our first ever logging package design specifically for Dog Leg, side load detection of the BHA. Our client requested a specific sensor capability to detect mechanical deflection during deployment of completion equipment and sought out MRD to provide a sophisticated logging package to analyze critical well bore mapping. Stay tuned as we prepare for deployment in the coming weeks.

3 1/2" Work-Over Rig / Snubbing Unit Logging Package

We are in the final manufacturing stretch to completing our 3 1/2" Work-Over Rig logging / Snubbing Unit logging package specifically design to handle the higher weight and torque environment of jointed pipe operations. This high torque, high yield assembly will provide data on surface to bit force exchange such as weight and torque, fluid analysis such as the use of new systems such as Aphron now being commonly circulated past the formation and offer valuable insight in very long lateral section to provide cutting analysis for optimal lateral extension success. We are currently taking Orders for this system.

Extended Reach - Turbine (ER-T) 

Having spent over a year analyzing and testing the feasibility to develop a Composite Power Section made on a 3D printer and developing a way to design a High Torque Turbine capable of Performing and operating ERTs and Drill Bits, MRD is now embarking on the development of their ER-T (Extended Reach-Turbine)Power Section. Our Turbine Powered motor is a 'Massive' step change in the design and manufacture of a Power Section and provides anyone with an ERT valve to attach to our ER-T. 

Our ER-T eliminates Stators and servicing and comes as a sealed unit ready to attach to your valve. Our In-house testing has proven that a turbine powered 'Metal to Metal' Power section is also viable and we will be reporting back in the 1st quarter 2023 of the latest test results.
